Community Schools Character Traits

Posted Date: 5/01/25 (2:00 PM)

The Community Schools Character Trait for the month of May is....Integrity

As part of our Community Schools Initiative, we implemented a Community Schools Character Traits program, inspired by the Capturing Kids' Hearts model. For the initial implementation during the 2024/2025 school year, Mrs. Vianney Durazo facilitates character trait lessons in ELOP classrooms at Dogwood and Heber Schools. At the end of the month, ELOP tutors select a student who exemplifies the featured character trait. Mrs. Durazo recognizes these students with a certificate during a special presentation.

As a Community School, we encourage everyone to support our students in demonstrating these positive traits. By working together as a Community School, we create endless opportunities for our students to succeed, ensuring a brighter future for our entire community.
